The service record

Four entries from the way TCS works

Scroll the record. Each entry is a practice their own customers or their own published standards describe, not a slogan.

A Trane XC95m furnace installed in an attic, cabinet face and drain pan visible beside insulated flex duct

Entry 01

The install is inspected before it is signed off

A field supervisor reviews each installation to verify it meets specification. Components are matched for compatibility, and load is calculated to industry standard rather than guessed from the old equipment. A poorly installed system uses more energy, breaks down more often and never reaches the comfort its rating promises.

Entry 02

The duct gets looked at, not just the box

On one Conroe replacement the crew reviewed the duct sizes and increased an intake duct from 16 to 18 inch on their own initiative, because the system was going to be choked otherwise. Airflow is where most of the comfort actually lives.

Entry 03

Thirty-five years in the same county

TCS has been providing HVAC service since 1991, family-owned and operated the whole way. Customers describe systems installed twenty-eight years ago and maintained ever since by the same company. The Montgomery Award Program named TCS Best of 2021.

Entry 04

The same technician comes back

The technician who installs your system is often the one who maintains it. Over repeat visits we get to know your indoor climate needs and the history and quirks of your equipment, which is what makes a fault quicker to find the next time.

Questions we get asked

Straight answers, in their own words

Every answer below comes from what TCS publishes or from how they describe the work. Where a claim is theirs rather than independently verified, it is written as theirs.

Yes. Emergency service runs around the clock, every day of the year, and there are no overtime charges. The office is open Monday to Saturday 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Sunday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but the emergency line does not keep office hours.

If we do not arrive when we say we will, your repair is free. That is our own on-time guarantee, and it sits alongside same-day service for scheduled repairs.

No. Estimates are free and second opinions are free, with no obligation. If another company has quoted you, bring us the quote.

SEER is the seasonal energy efficiency ratio: the cooling output across a season divided by the energy used in that same period. The higher the SEER, the more efficient the system. The rating depends on the combination of outdoor and indoor equipment, not the condenser alone, which is why a quoted figure can differ from the number on the EnergyGuide label.

All heating and cooling equipment needs an annual professional tune-up. Regular inspections uncover leaks, rust, rot, soot, frayed wires and corroded electrical contacts before they become failures. Our maintenance agreement includes a 21-point safety inspection, priority service, 10% off parts and discounted labour rates.

We are a Trane Comfort Specialist and a factory authorized dealer, and our NATE-certified technicians work on all brands of heating equipment, including American Standard, Bryant, Carrier, Goodman, Mitsubishi, York, Amana and Ruud.

A standard filter keeps the system and ductwork clean but does little for indoor air quality. A media air cleaner sits between the main return duct and the blower cabinet and removes up to seven times more dust and particles than a standard filter. A pleated media filter goes further again.
